AHA Cafe was born on Tran Huy Lieu street - a street with a long tradition of cafes in Hanoi and then quickly appeared on Nguyen Huu Huan street. AHA Cafe is inspired by the early morning, early autumn, lakeside coffee sessions in Hanoi, with the slow lifestyle typical of the capital's people. AHA Cafe was born in 1997 by Mr. Nguyen Manh Ha, a lover of Hanoi-style roasted coffee.

With its very own culture, AHA Cafe was voted as a "must-see" cafe when visiting Hanoi, and is sought after by many foreign tourists, including Prince William of England. Therefore, during the chain cafe crisis, when The Kafe "collapsed", a much smaller chain cafe brand, AHA Cafe, still existed and developed.
